America is now catching up to rest of the developed world when it comes to embracing the “green technology”. Europe, Japan and China have been producing electric Pedicabs (as shown below), e-cars and e-bicycles at record number. Most of these e-vehicles do not meet DOT certifications thus do not meet the US standards to arrive in the US. Mr. Amar Prakash, founder and owner of this company was visiting India in March of 2011 and saw hundreds of rickshaws with a single gear system. One day when Mr. Prakash was riding in one of those rickshaws noticed that on a very small slope (up) the rickshawala (driver) could not pedal the rickshaw up hill and had to get of his rickshaw and pull it by hand until the level ground reached. This brought an idea to Mr. Prakash that these rickshaws should have a multiple gear system allowing the driver to downshift the gears thus preventing to get off and pull it by hand.

However, due to heavy bureaucratic Govt., procedures Mr. Prakash decided to concentrate on bringing “green technology” to USA with Pedicabs, and thus creating jobs in America.
The company Pedicabs, Bicycles and More was born in September, 2011. The idea, of Pedicabs, got on the drawing board. This we hope will create jobs as well as help the environment. The Pedicabs will have no emission or carbon footprint.
